With all the positive press that Resident Evil 5 is receiving close to its release, it is understandable that most gamers would salivate at the opportunity to finally see for themselves whether this game can justify the considerable hype that it is receiving.
Gamers will finally get that chance today (January 26, 2009), as it was just announced by Major Nelson that the demo is now available on the Live Marketplace for download. Clocking in at 472 MB, the demo is the same as the one has been available in Japan for a while now, containing a pair of levels that can be experienced either via the single-player or cooperative play modes.
As for Playstation 3 players, they will also have the chance to experience Resident Evil 5 but will have to wait a bit longer. According to Eurogamer, Playstation 3 players will be able to have a chance to experience the demo on February 2, 2009. However, a more likely opportunity will probably make itself known during the next Playstation Store update, which will take place this coming Thursday.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to play Resident Evil 5. Knowing Capcom’s track record this year, I am confident that they will release a quality product. The only question that I have to consider now is what system should have the honor of experiencing this fine product. Will it be the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360?
