It’s time once again for a PSP update. PSP Firmware Update (v6.10) was released October 1, 2009, and is ready for download. This download is mainly for the PSPgo released the same time. It allows you to completely update your Media Go application on both the PSP and PSPgo and ensures that you can play all the newest PSP titles.

Some of the features of the update include:
  • Sense Me – This is a new music app for the PSP that uses Sony’s proprietary 12 Tone Analysis technology which evaluates music tracks that have been imported from Media Go on your PSP or computer. The app automatically categorizes your music into 12 different channels like “Relax” and “Newly added.”

  • New look – Media Go is also in for a new look with this download, the new design will make it easier to organize your images, music, and videos that you have synced with your computer. It’s also easier to download games, movies, and TV from your computer or PSP. You can also export your playlists.

  • Tethering – With the new update, you can connect to the internet with your new PSPgo (only) using a Bluetooth mobile device, such as a cell phone or a modem. So if you aren’t near a WiFi spot, you have a backup option.

To download this and all updates, go to “settings” on the menu screen of your PSP, then scroll down to system update, as long as you are connected to the internet you should be able to download it. You can also download it to your computer by visiting Playstation’s website
