Pretend you’re a Guitar Hero with a more realistic guitar controller
There is somewhat of a controversy about the value of Guitar Hero as a teaching tool, in this case for teaching music or guitar skills. Although many people may think that rocking at Guitar Hero puts them closer to being in a real band, the reality is that the game and the real thing vary greatly.
I agree with most guitar players in the fact that the controller is very different from a real guitar but I think that’s OK. The game was never intended as a sim or anything else than a fun game and the controller was just designed to look cool and help in the overall feel of the game. Even an experienced guitar player would find the controller awkward at first and would most likely fail in his first song, and even the best Guitar Hero player in the world would not know how to play a real guitar without prior experience.
Now there is a guitar controller that may help real guitar players feel more at home and regular folks more like playing a real guitar in the Guitar Hero games. This controller more closely resembles the real deal and that is because it is based on a real guitar.
The AG RiffMaster Guitar Controller is made using a genuine Peavey electric guitar modified to include the strum bar, buttons and whammy bar utilized for the Guitar Hero games. It also comes with one of 17 unique designs featuring artists including Pantera, KISS, Megadeth and Ozzy Osbourne.
The AG RiffMaster features wireless technology and an assortment of accessories like cases, a barstool and a care kit will also be available. It will only be for sale during the holiday season for $399 but only for the PS2 at the moment.
