Practice gentrification with Build-a-Lot 3: Passport to Europe

by Jenni Lada on Nov 18, 2008 at 03:25 PM

Build a Lot 3 Passport to EuropeBuild-a-Lot 3: Passport to Europe, a new entry in HipSoft’s house flipping/gentrification Build-a-Lot series, has just been released online. Like all of the Build-a-Lot games, the third entry has you buying, fixing up and perfecting homes in a set area so rich people will come in and buy them from you.

Build-a-Lot 3 sounds really similar to Build-a-Lot 2. Both have the house flipping aspect, and require you to think about the area to create curb appeal that makes homes look good from the outside. Also, both games want you to enchance the area. Build-a-Lot 2 does this with shops and parks, and Build-a-Lot 3 does this with landmarks and service buildings. The only difference (aside from the setting) that I can see, is that the Build-a-Lot 3 page mentions weather conditions, unruly neighbors and fires as possible challenges to overcome.

There are two ways to go with Build-a-Lot 3. You can just go for the free, 94mb demo, or you can go for the demo and move up to the $19.95 full version. The game requires a Windows PC with at least Windows 98 to play, so if you can’t meet that requirement, you may want to look at some other sim title.
