It is time for the annual, er, weekly Playstation Store update, this one comes with some sport-related goodness in addition to some unexpected Valentine’s presents for the love struck gamers out there.

The highlights of this update include 3 on 3 NHL Arcade for $10, along with the full version of Burnout Paradise for $30. Both are great deals that are sure to excite gamers that are looking for high-quality action at a low-impact price.

Burnout Paradise also comes complete with some additional content that can be purchased for $10, allowing gamers to see more of Paradise City for themselves. High Velocity Bowling, Hot Shots Golf, LittleBigPlanet and Naurto: Ultimate Ninja Storm are also the beneficiaries of additional content. High Velocity Bowling’s extra content will allow players to choose from a pair of new characters for $1 each, while Hot Shots Golf’s extra content will allow players to obtain a new course for $5.

$5 for a new course is too expensive in my opinion. The course better be big enough to justify that price.

The usual Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour updates are available as well. Rock Band players can purchase a Thin Lizzy Track Pack for $5.49, while Guitar Hero World Tour players can purchase a Southern Rock track pack for the same price.

Along with the usual set of demos, videos and themes for the PS3, some Playstation Portable related content is also available; for free, players can either obtain a demo of Phantasy Star Portable or obtain either a LocoRoco 2 pre-launch trailer or wallpaper.

All in all, another worthwhile update, and it should serve as a nice pre-Valentine’s day alternative to what is out there.
