The main course in this update feast is the release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix, which will set players back $15. This game has already been received favorably from sites such as 1UP and IGN and will definitely please any Street Fighter fan.
For gamers who choose to exercise their minds rather than their muscles, Brain Challenge will also be available for purchase. For $10, players can see just how strong their minds are in comparison to the competition.
For players who want to sample some older Playstation Store content, Echochrome, The Last Guy, PixelJunk Eden, Novastrike and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 will be on sale for only $5. Fans of these games who have failed to purchase these titles should definitely strike while the proverbial iron is hot. This dish o’ deals will only remain hot until December 4, 2008, so act fast!
Meanwhile, LittleBigPlanet is using this Thanksgiving holiday to promote an appropriately themed costume; players have the option of either receiving a free turkey costume or a Resistance 2-styled Chimera outfit for $2.
Gamers of the musical persuasion will benefit from new songs and tracks for Guitar Hero World Tour, Rock Band 2 and Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Volume 2. Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour will both receive songs from The Killers, while Rock Band will receive tracks from Yngwie Malmsteen, Soundgarden and Lamb of God. As before, Guitar Hero and Rock Band tracks cost $2 individually and $5.49 as a group. Tracks from Karaoke Revolution will set players back $1.49 each.
Players still interested in Dead Space will have the chance to try out a demo to see if it is worth their time.
The usual assortment of themes and wallpapers will be available in this update as well, along with some musical tracks from Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix, so players can listen to its tunes while decimating their opponents.
Playstation Portable Players will also see some fruits in this feast as well, in the form of a trailer for Everyday Shooter and the chance to play PBR: Out of the Chute. For $15, it may very well be the first bull riding game on the PSP, or ever.
This update should surely prove bountiful for players who plan to squeeze in some Playstation time in between turkey bites.
