Playstation 3 transformed into laptop by Pirate

Some of you may have caught the article about the hacked PSP made into a phone and it appears the Sony system hacking hasn’t come to an end. This week, someone has made a Playstation 3 into a laptop.
Even though it appears to run, I’m not certain whether you could practically use it as a laptop. It is quite large at 16 in. x 10.5 in. x 4 in. when closed and heavier than most laptops, weighing 15 pounds. I wouldn’t want that on my lap for computing purposes.
However, I do admire what it does have: keyboard, built-in speakers and a headphone jack. It also has an 80GB SKU with 320GB HDD and a 720p HTV LCD Monitor.
Let’s hope this is yet another step closer to real laptop-console hybrids. I’ve been wanting to play Wii games on my Toshiba for quite some time now. If this is the only way, then hopefully slimmer and lighter ones will be made.
If you would like to see it for yourself, check out this video below. The modder, who’ goes by the completely unclever moniker Pirate, has appropriately given his video a soundtrack very reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean.
