More information has been released about Majesco’s musical Wii title, Major Minor’s Majestic March. The game has been given a tentative late 2008 release date, and additional gameplay information and screen shots have been released onto the internet. Everyone knows it is a musical marching-band simulation, but now we finally know more about how it all comes together.
Players guide the band’s leader, Major Minor, using the wiimote. By waving it, players guide the band through street obstacle courses while keeping up with the beat of one of 25 different songs. There will also be additional items and band members along parade routes that players can add to their band, and players will be able to alter their band’s members and instruments.
Aside from having a tongue-twister name, Major Minor’s Majestic March also features stylish art and a promising premise. NanaOn-Sha is creating the music game, which means Masaya Matsuura will be working on game design and music and Rodney Greenblat will be handling the art. Since many people don’t recall the names of people behind the games, just remember that these two men also worked on PaRappa the Rapper, PaRappa the Rapper 2 and UmJammer Lammy.
