Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.

It seems like just yesterday I was writing about the free2play MMO Pi Story, well okay, it was almost two weeks ago. I just didn’t expect more news this quickly. It turns out that Aeria Games, responsible for the MMOs Dream of Mirror, Twelve Sky, Shaiya and Project Torque, have acquired Pi Story and will now be handling the North American distribution and day-to-day activities of the NCONY developed game.
So far it seems like, despite the acquisition, all scheduled events will proceed as planned. A closed beta is still planned for June 23, 2008. Only now, people will need an Aeria Games account in order to play the Pi Story. To sign up for the beta, simply log in, and visit the Pi Story main page. You then will be asked three survey questions, asking if you like pie, have ever played Pi Story or ever participated in a beta period.
As for the Shojo Beat newsletter “in” for the closed beta starting June 23, it looks like it is still applicable. The special Shojo Beat/Pi Story page is still online. Perhaps the best thing to do now is sign up, wait and see.
