According to Kotaku, Xbox 360 racer Project Gotham Racing 4 will be receiving two new downloadable “challenge packs” this Valentine’s day (February 14, 2008). The free challenge pack will allow players to drive the “hydrogen-powered 2007 Peugeot Flux” and includes two new game modes: Tourist mode (which allows you to “sightsee” with friends) and Free Roam Cat and Mouse (which pits a slow “mouse” car against several faster “cat” cars in a chase around the city).
The Premium pack will set you back 400 MS points ($5) and includes several new vehicles: “the 2008 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept, 2007 Volkswagen Golf GTI W12-650, 2007 Peugeot Flux, 1987 BMW M3 E30 DTM, 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, 2008 Honda S2000 CR, and 2008 Callaway C16 Speedster. You get three new bikes-the 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1, 1995 Aprilia RS 250, and 1998 Aprilia RSV 1000 Tuono R”. The pack also includes World Challenge Arcade Mode (which adds 20 new events), and the aforementioned Tourist and Free Roam Cat and Mouse modes.
Overall, that’s quite a nice little update. If you’re still into PGR4 (and don’t have a hot Valentine’s day date), this will be well worth checking out.
