PopCap is always prepared to provide content to keep its Peggle addicts happy, even ones who are playing on consoles instead of computers. Peggle Nights has been confirmed for Xbox Live Arcade, and will be released on the service before the end of Fall 2009. There is a catch though - where the PC and Mac versions of Peggle Nights was a stand alone game, the Xbox Live Arcade version is an expansion pack. So in order to play it, you must have purchased the 800 Microsoft Point Peggle.

At least you’re getting the game though! Even if it does mean you have to purchase, or have purchased, the original. Peggle Nights has a new story mode adventure with 60 levels, 60 new levels which are available for single and multiplayer modes. 60 challenges to complete in the Challenge Mode, a trophy room and the ability to check your statistics and three new Achievements worth 50 gamerscore. So, at the very least, you could use the game to pad your score.

Peggle is a great puzzle/action game, so it could be worth checking out. There’s a free demo on Xbox Live Arcade, or you could always download one of the free PC or Mac demos available to test it out.
