The fourth annual Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) , an event meant for gamers of all types, ages and creeds, has moved to a new location and increased its floorspace from last years’s event.  Created by Jerry “Tycho” Holkins and Mike “Gabe” Krahulik, the goofy duo who brought you the Penny-Arcade webcomic, PAX has been doubling in size each year starting with only a few thousand attendees and, now, needing room for tens of thousands.

PAX07 will take place August 24-26, 2007, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in downtown Seattle, WA.

From the PAX press release:

“We thought that by tripling the available exhibitor space, we’d have enough room for everybody. I guess we were wrong.” said Penny Arcade’s director of sales, Mike Fehlauer. “We do our best to throw a kickass party for the gamer community, and so we’re grateful-and relieved-that the response has been so positive.”

Last year’s PAX includes gaming rooms, each dedicated to specific types of games or hardware. You’ll find a room for modded PCs, area for wireless Ds gaming, a section dedicated to tabletop games and freeplay areas. Competitions and friendly LAN parties fill the event, as well as people scattered around the lobbies, hallways and atriums playing handheld games while waiting for events or just to get into the exhibitor room.

The event also includes various panel discussions by industry professional, live Nerdcore concerts and a keynote address by Wil Wheaton.

The biggest event is the Omegathon, a series of game competitions between 20 randomly select pre-registered attendees, who must score the best at games from every type and genre. Past prizes have included a car and every NES product ever made ever. This year’s Omegaprize incldues a trip for two to the Tokyo Game Show (flights, hotels, etc) and $5,000 cash.

As for the filled-up, triple-big exhibition room, confirmed exhibitors include:
