Zensoft’s just released an entertaining and well designed, Super Mario World parody called Super Obama World. Well, more like made it available online for everyone to play. Super Obama World is a browser-based, free action game where you guide President Obama through six levels (and possibly 2 secret levels) through Alaska.
As tempting as it was to start from “I Can See Russia From My House,” I decided to start with “For Everything Else, There’s the RNC.” Our 44th president is surprisingly frail. You can collect a pie powerup that makes him into a sort of “super” Obama in the very beginning, which means that he can take one enemy hit before dying, but the precarious, ice covered platforms in the level can make it tricky to collect all the flags. Good thing you get 50 lives.
I’d recommend starting at “Thanks But No Thanks,” it’s the easiest level, and basically a straight shot through where you can learn the subtleties of the game. I’d recommend giving it a quick try. It’s a really fun diversion, and you can tell a lot of time and effort went into it.
