Nintendo has just announced that this week it will begin offering free demos of WiiWare games via the Wii Shop Channel. You look under WiiWare once you’re in the Wii Shop Channel, and look for demos. Right now you can get Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, Bit.Trip Beat, World of Goo and Pokemon Rumble, five of the most popular Wii games available.
Unfortunately, this means that the full WiiWare offerings are rather slim. All there is is Pokemon Rumble. Thankfully there are multiple Virtual Console and DSiWare games available.
Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Pokemon Rumble (WiiWare) and Art Style: Digidrive (DSiWare).
WiiWare
Pokemon Rumble
Price: 1,500 Nintendo Points / $15
Publisher:
Genre: Action / RPG
ESRB Rating: “Everyone 10+” for Mild Cartoon Violence

If you win, some of the pokemon you defeated may join, and you can then pick from more pokemon to fight with. Three other players can join you in co-operative multiplayer, and you can exchange Toy Pokemon with friends by saving them to your remote and then going to visit them with that remote in tow. If you have a Club Nintendo account, go through the elaborate process of connecting it to your Wii Shop Channel account and you’ll get a Charizard to use in the game.
Virtual Console
