Peter Payne’s site specializing in all thing Japanese, J-List (and J-Box for the under-18 crowd) has another groovy videogame related items.

For today’s installment, a PC USB retro style controller by Elecom called the Red Retro USB Game Pad (JC-U2208TRD ).

Selling on the site for $18, this PC game controller has 8 buttons and is modeled after the Nintendo Famicom (aka. the original, Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES).

Retro gaming coolness at its best.

From the site:

“This fits into USB slot and requires no drivers for Windows XP/2000/98/Me, and contains a super long 180 cm cord (approximately 6 feet) for playing with some distance from the screen. With four configurable fire buttons and two buttons on the top (all can do autofire), with auto and clear buttons as well, this game pad is easy to use. Comes to you in this classic Nintendo controller version for that retro feel. Another great game pad from ELECOM, the company dedicated to ELEgant COMputing. (Mac users may need to use a program such as USB overdrive in some applications.)”
