New Carol Reed Mystery tells players The Color of Murder

by Jenni Lada on Nov 12, 2008 at 03:24 PM

Carol Reed Mystery The Color of MurderMerscom and MDNA Games’ latest entry in the Carol Reed series of point-and-click mystery games have just announced that The Color of Murder is now available through Big Fish Games: The Color of Murder. Though it follows the same formula as previous Carol Reed Mystery titles, The Color of Murder is the first entry to feature a tutorial and hint system to help beginners find their way through the game, should they get stuck.

In The Color of Murder, Carol finds herself in Norrkoping, Sweden, attempting to find her friend Willy’s estranged son. As she searches for the man, she discovers that Willy’s son may not be the most upstanding citizen. Apparently, a resident of Norrkoping was killed the week before Carol arrived, and it looks like Willy’s son may have had some kind of connection to the victim. Its up to Carol to find out what is going on and who the murderer is.

Regretably, there is no free demo. So point-and-click adventure fans will just have to take a chance on Carol’s latest mystery. Big Fish Games requires users to create an account in order to purchase games, and has a club where, if you join, The Color of Murder will cost $6.99. The game is a substantial download (547.80mb), so make sure you have plenty of time if you decide to download it.

Previous Carol Reed Mystery games include Remedy, Hope Springs Eternal, Time Stand Still and East Side Story. So if you decide to try The Color of Murder and enjoy it, there are four other games you can then move on to and play.
