NDOORS wants to give Atlantica Online players money. Not all the players though, only the unhappy ones. The company behind the game has decided to offer a new promotion to players - if you don’t like the game and you have a level 50 character, NDOORS will give you $20 for your character and account. Not bad, considering Atlantica Online is a free-to-play MMO.
This promotion officially began October 11, 2008 and will end on November 30, 2008. There are some specifics that you must fufill to qualify for the free $20 though (there’s always a catch). You have to have just started playing Atlantica Online after October 11, have a character at exactly level 50, have a PayPal account and understand that if you participate, you’ll lose your account. Then, you simply email the company with the information required for the refund, and you’ll hopefully get the $20 within four to six weeks.
I’ve actually always been slightly interested in Atlantica Online, because it has strategic turn-based fighting rather than action-rpg style. For some reason, in action rpg MMOs, I end up having trouble after level 30. Atlantica Online is in the open beta phase and is free-to-play.
I could probably never sell a character I’d leveled up that much though. You know how much time and effort it takes to reach level 50 in any game? Lots. A company would have to offer at least $1 a level to make it even remotely worthwhile.
