Mortal Kombat fans, where art thou? If you need a relatively cheap dose of Kombat before Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe lands, you could do worse than to check out Mortal Kombat Kollection. The title (which is out now for the PS2) contains Mortal Kombat: Deception, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. So it doesn’t include the classic MK titles (like the series arguably finest moment, Mortal Kombat 2), but it’s a pretty fun “kollection’ all the same.
Ok, I don’t know much about Shaolin Monks, but both Deception and Armageddon are pretty decent fighting games, and both are packed to the brim with wacky minigames and alternate modes (like Puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat), so this pack is certainly a nice value at $29.99. Surely it’s worth a spin if you’re at all into brawlers and don’t take these things too seriously.
