Modder hacks PSP, adds touchscreen

Jube808, a Pspzproject member, has created a PSP modification that is a step closer to some sort of strange DS-PSP hybrid. The user created a touchscreen PSP. Jube808, an electronic engineer by trade, has decided that his PSP was nice, but could be nicer. So he has set out to make it into the gaming device he knows it can be.
Jube808 has uploaded videos to YouTube to show the touchscreen PSP’s concept keyboard in action. He also hopes to see homebrew PSP games that make use of the touchscreen feature.

I would love to have a touchscreen on my PSP. Then I could finally use the internet browser. Yes, I know I can use it without a touchscreen, but I just get so frustrated with the typing process. This would be a great official feature as well - Sony should take note and perhaps include this function on new versions of, or the next, PSP.

I found that so weird. If you want a touchscreen, just get a DS O_o
Did you hear about the guy who turned his PSP into a cell phone? He killed the UMD doing so xD

I heard about that! I could never do that to my PSP - all I do is play UMD games and movies on it.
on August 13, 2008 at 09:06 PM - LINKEven though the thought of messing up a perfectly good PSP sounds horrible, I would love to have a PSP phone. I’d get a GameCube and turn it into a lunchbox or purse to match. :D
