MLG launches Game Room web site for your game videos

by PJ Hruschak on May 21, 2007 at 11:45 AM

Major League Gaming, which owns game ladder and forum site, Gamebattles, has launched the beta version of Game Room, a site where gamers can post their video game videos.

The new Game Room section is a YouTube style site dedicated to video game videos. So far there appears to be more than 100 videos of gameplay posted by users. At best it’s a place for people to show off their mad fragging skills and hidden game treasures. At worst, it’s many boring minutes of watching people wander around a large game map.

For those who have already joined GameBattles, your login can be used to access MLGPro.com and the beta version of MLG’s Game Room site. (MLG is one of the few professional gaming leagues in the world, hiring gamers and sponsoring them in tournaments - yep, they get paid to play).

MLG’s Game Room also has the usual tags so you can embed a video into your site, use a URL for emailing and some BBCode. Below is the most popular video so far set to some lovely metal music.
