There’s some good news for European casual gamers, Majesco has officially announced that Cake Mania: In the Mix will be released throughout Europe in the beginning of 2009. Cake Mania is an internet favorite, with Majesco reporting in its press release that there have been over 80 million downloads of the original game.
The Wii version will, of course, have special features for it. Already a co-op mode has been announced, where a second player can join in to help the first player and Jill make cakes. Players will also be helping Jill run a catering business by phone, advertise in the local paper, serve new customers and add new items to the bakeries which weren’t found in previous games.
A North American version of Cake Mania: Mix it Up hasn’t been announced, but it could be coming. After all, Cake Mania was released on North American DSes and plenty of North American casual gamers play the original game. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear talk about it when E3 rolls around.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2’s many imperfections, like laws you might unintentionally break, a flawed recruiting system, recycled characters and new MP system have made me realize I want nothing to do with the game.
