Known for ultra-realistic and inexpensive action figures, McFarlane plans to offer six figures, five sold individually and a grunt 2-pack, and three vehicles based on the video game franchise. The figures are expected to be available Spring 2008, though a prototype image of Master Chief (seen here) has already been released (it’s appears to be a 3D model and not a sculpted prototype).
Though the prices have not yet been announced, figures will likely retail for $15-20 each, depending on the packaging and accessories. From the prototype image, it appears most will come with at least one gun, though McFarlane’s designers love to include multiple accessories with each figure and, like its “The Matrix” series, release a few multiple figure and vehicle sets with elaborate packaging and environment pieces.
From McFarlane’s site, here’s the proposed action figure lineup:
Of course, if you cannot wait until 2008 to get a Master Chief action figure, McFarlane is releasing two Halo 3 Xbox 360 wireless controllers with Halo 3 mini figures. Each controller will retail for $59.95 and will be available September 2007.
