Gamertell Matt Groening The Simpsons Game character boss If you’ve ever wanted to get a bit revenge on Matt Groening for letting Futurama get canceled, here’s your big chance.

The creator of Life is Hell and The Simpsons will be the final boss in the upcoming The Simpsons Game.

Groening told Eurogamer:

“It’s a video game about video games and I’m in the video game. I’m a boss that you have to fight at the end of the game.”

The game is written by Matt Selman and Matt Warburton, who have both worked on several other Simpsons projects. (Apparently *Matt* Groening has a thing for hiring people named Matt).

The Simpsons Game is a third-person action game published by EA Games and is expected to be released later this year (Autumn 2007) for all current game systems (PSP, DS, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii), coinciding with the release of the The Simpsons movie on DVD. This will be the 22nd Simpsons videogame.
