Mass Effect on May 6

by Jenni Lada on Feb 27, 2008 at 03:02 PM

So it's agreed, we'll meet again here on May 9

An exact launch date for PC version of Mass Effect has just been announced. Bioware has stated in an official release that the game will be shipped to retailers nationwide on May 6, 2008. An earlier press release from Bioware, which was previously reported on by Gamertell, only mentioned a May release and special PC only features.

The new press release also makes mention of a few additional extra features that are going to be added to the PC edition. For example, individual squad members can receive specific orders, rather than one order being issued to a large group. The Mako vehicle will also have a new camera system and a control scheme designed for PC users. Also saving will be easier, as there will be a quick save system and the ability to have more regular save files.

Of course even without all of these add-ons, the PC version of Mass Effect would still sell. This is a phenomenal game, and it is fantastic news that it will be available for anyone with a PC desktop or laptop.
