Majesco plants an Orchard

by Jenni Lada on Jun 12, 2008 at 11:38 AM

Majesco's logoMajesco has already proven itself as a formidable casual game contender when it comes to console and handheld games, but now it is looking to make its mark on online PC games. The company’s first online casual game, an orchard running and pie making simulation called Orchard, has been officially announced and dated for a Q4, 2008 release.

In Orchard you raise and maintain an orchard filled with apples, blueberries, cherries, grapes, strawberries and more. Then, when it is time to harvest, you combine the different fruits to make pies, which you then enter in various contests for prizes and glory. Fans of Lemonade Tycoon may find a new favorite with Orchard.

It does sound really interesting, and if Orchard has some sort of free demo that can be played through Yahoo Games, I’m in. Somehow it reminds me, in some tiny way, of Sim Farm. At least it isn’t a Dinner Dash rip-off like Betty Boop’s Double Shift.
