Luna Online’s closed beta begins - lets start fighting monsters, finding love and farming!
Cute, somewhat deformed, anime characters? Check.
Unique family and friend systems to help players’ avatars bond? Check.
The ability to run your own farm and raise pets? Check.
The ability to face off against evil hordes facing Blue Land? Double check!
Yup, it looks like the closed beta of the free-to-play, MMORPG Luna Online is ready to go! Even though Run Up Game is referring to this as a closed beta, its really easy for anyone who wants to play to join. You just go to the site, register for an account and then download the client. After that, you’re welcome to explore the world of Blue Land and begin fighting, farming and making friends.
There’s a little quirk though. When you register, you must enter your account name in lowercase letters. I don’t know why, but you just do. It took me a few tries to figure it out too.
Once again, this is a Windows only MMO. You need Windows 2000 or better to play, and Direct X 8.1 or higher. If you can meet those requirements, you’re in! The client download is also somewhat compact, for an MMO. Its only 537mb. Funny, when you start thinking of 537mb as compact. It looks cute and fun, so if you’re willing to try, stop by the site and sign up.

Anything that makes this free-to-play stand out above the others?
on December 18, 2008 at 06:03 AM - LINKActually, it feels a bit like Dream of Mirror Online.
The idea of being able to farm, form families and have a soulmate/partner who’s abilities compliment yours is new.
I almost thought of it as being a teensy bit like a MMO Harvest Moon or Rune Factory - due to the farming and family part.
