Logitech teamed up with EA to support force-feedback in their upcoming Need for Speed racing game for the Wii which will run you about $100 if you decide to give it a spin. The new wheel comes with paddle shifters but is missing foot pedals or a stick shift, something many will probably not like especially for that price tag. And being stand-alone, the WiiMote doesn’t plug into it like some other accessories.
You sit the wheel in your lap and it works by providing gravitational and rotational resistance. Although the wheel itself is wireless (it comes with a 2.4GHz wireless USB transmitter that plugs into the Wii), you still need to plug it into an AC outlet to power it up.
