The hype machine behind the PS3 exclusive title LittleBigPlanet continues to pick up steam as we near closer to its October 2008 release date. We know of several truly unique gameplay features such as the ability to capture images using the PlayStation Eye and placing them into the game, YouTube upload support and, of course, Trophies.

As if creating unique stages from scratch with friends online wasn’t enough to warrant a purchase, SCEA’s Marketing Manager, Mark Valledor, posted on the PlayStation Blog telling of goodies that will accompany LBP pre-orders.

There are five items that will be given out for pre-orders of the game. However, not all of the items offered will be at every retailer. A future PlayStation Blog post will tell which respective retailers will have which item and when it’ll be available.

Here is a rundown of all the free stuff:

• The Official LittleBigPlanet Creator MiniGuide will equip you with all the knowledge necessary in order to get a head start on using LBP‘s level creating tools. The guide is completely digital so it could come in the form of a DVD or it could be an online guide which requires a special code to unlock.
• The LittleBig StickerBook is filled with, well stickers. You could use those and stick them on the ceiling or take pictures of the stickers and upload them right into game.
• The LittleBigPouch is a LBP themed CD holder. It’s meant to keep your precious game safe from those who may want to do Sackboy harm. It comes with a zipper on top so I guess it could double for a change pouch or whatever else you have laying around. Hey it’s LBP, use your imagination!
• The last of the goodies are two downloadable costumes featuring Nariko from Heavenly Sword and Kratos from God of War.
