If you happened to download the PSP firmware v4.00, then I have to break some news to you. You’re going to have to get out your power cord, charge up your PSP and do a little more updating. Yes, PSP firmware is now at v4.01. I know you all only just updated it on June 16, 2008, and were hoping that it would be a while before you had to update again. Well, sometimes things don’t work out - v4.01 was just announced and released yesterday (June 24, 2008).
It seems that people were having two problems with v4.00’s features. Some were having problems seeing Google search results if they searched for information and others were having problems playing videos. This new update fixes those bugs.
See, this is why I only update my firmware when it is absolutely necessary. I think the last time I updated was to v3.90-something, so I could play the Patapon demo. I don’t care what magical features the latest firmware updates offer - as long as I can play my games, I’m happy.
