LEGO Rock Band announced, adds new meaning to the term “toy guitar”

The cutest little badass game in the world was officially announced today, and anyone who has ever desired to be a tiny plastic rock star will soon have their fever dreams realized. Yes, I’m talking about LEGO Rock Band, the rumored mash-up of tiny little building toys and Harmonix’ monster music franchise. A recent 1Up post confirmed the news, and confirms that the game is aimed at the younger set (not a big surprise).
I actually checked the date to make sure it wasn’t April fool’s day all over again, but yes, this is for real. The title has three “family appropriate” songs confirmed so far. From the post:
“Song 2”—Blur
“Kung Fu Fighting”—Carl Douglas
“The Final Countdown”—Europe
“Boys and Girls”—Good Charlotte
“So What”—Pink
Since I love the LEGO games, and of course, I enjoy Rock Band, I’m looking forward to this one. Obviously, the final song list will have a lot to do with any purchasing decisions, so we’ll keep you updated.
