The last call is being sent out for early bird pre-registration for the 2008 Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). On March 31, 2008 early bird pre-reg will end, and the pre-registration period will begin and last until August 1, 2008. You’re probably thinking, “Big deal - so there are two fewer words.” Well there is more of a difference than that. If you register before the deadline, the three day pass to the event is $40. If you wait until April, the price goes up to $45. If you actually decide to just pay at the door (perish the thought), it costs $50.

PAX is an expo celebrating video games and gamers, filled with conference panels, concerts, exhibits and, of course, the opportunity to play video and table-top games. This year PAX is running from August 29-31, 2008 and is taking place in Seattle, Washington.

If you’re going to go, register now. You can save $10! That’s a lot! For $10 you could get, well, you could eat at McDonalds three times during PAX, provided you eat from the dollar menu. After all, you’ll be so busy with events at the convention that you won’t have time for three meals a day.
