That’s rights, kids - KORG DS-10 is now gold - you can soon make sweet, sweet music - real music, none of this rhythm game malarkey - with your DS. The “game” is real, full-on music creation software, with a 6-track/16-step sequencer and high-quality samples. Another cool feature - up to 8 DS’ running the title can be linked via wi-fi for musical exchanges or to play together. Think about it - DS concerts. I’m sold.
If you’d rather play god than play music, XSEED has also announced that Populous DS has gone gold. Wireless multiplayer is the number one reason to play this classic oldie again. Both games are coming to retail quite soon (November 4, 2008 for KORG and November 11, 2008 for Populous DS). KORG will set you back $39.99 - a small price to pay for a genuine synthesizer, while Populous carries the usual $29.99 DS price.
I’m seriously excited for the possibilities of KORG. If 2008 is the year of user-generated content, then this (and obviously,LittleBigPlanet) are among the greatest examples of what can be done with the videogame media.
