A DS game referred to by Siliconera as Harry Potter meets Animal Crossing is going to be released outside of Japan. Konami has announced that it will be bringing the forthcoming Japanese release Tongari Boushi to Mahou no 365 Nichi to the US as Little Magician’s Magic Adventure. The game is still listed as TBA for Japanese audiences, but Konami has stated that it will be out in the US in February 2009.

In Little Magician’s Magic Adventure, players become wizards and witches in-training. You go throughout a world trying to learn and master spells and make friends with other apprentice wizards and witches. There’s a Japanese site up for the game, but there’s no information or images there yet.

The DS excels when it comes to simulation games, due to its portable nature, so I’m sure Little Magician’s Magic Adventure will find an audience. The only thing is, it may be overlooked by older gamers due to the childish name.
