In the wake of the Metal Gear Touch’s announcement, it has also been uncovered that Konami intends to bring over other games to the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms as well.
As of right now, it looks like Konami’s touch-based games website will remain Japan-only but a press release confirms that the games will make way to North American and European markets.
Currently, there are four games planned to hit the Japanese App Store “soon”. These titles include: Silent Hill: The Escape, Dance Dance Revolution S Lite, Frogger and Metal Gear Touch. From the looks of things, Silent Hill: The Escape will be a first-person shooter, Dance Dance Revolution S Lite will use an on-screen touch pad to play and Frogger, well, looks like Frogger.
According to Konami, details on the upcoming titles are as follows:
DDR S Lite, Frogger and Silent Hill: The Escape are all planned to be released in 2008 (Frogger is currently available in North America for $5.99), with only DDR not going to Europe.
While you wait to test out your touch dancing skills, or for the Europeans, frog hopping skills, check out our photo gallery http://www.gamertell.com/gaming/gallery/album/konami-touch-games/to see what’s in store for touch-based “gaming platform”.
