Hideo Kojima, the creative genius behind Metal Gear, furnished fresh details at the Leipzig Game Convention 2007 about the upcoming game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots. He talked at length about the four new boss characters called Beauty and the Beast, and what led to its creation.

The Beauty and the Beast unit will feature four female boss characters, Screaming Mantis, Laughing Octopus, Raging Raven, and Crying Wolf, who are part human and part machine. The four members of the unit, devastated by war, go on a rampage and, as always, only our hero Solid Snake can stop them.

A Beauty and the Beast trailer shown at the con gave a mesmerizing glimpse of the new female bosses. Kojima said that he felt the need to create “larger than life” characters that far-surpassed the bosses of the previous Metal Gear titles.

As for an Xbox 360 port of MGS4, Konami reps did not out rightly rubbish its possibilities. Ken Imaizumi, the producer of the game, tantalizingly said that Konami had no plans of a 360 version of MGS4, as of now.

Kojima seemed upbeat during the course of his presentation, bringing his good humor along as well.The Beauty and the Beast unit pretty much owned the entire presentation but no one is really complaining. The enthralling Beauty and the Beast trailer should only make PS3 owners more restless. As for the Xbox 360 gamers, there is still a small likelihood of the game being available to them.
