For the next few days, Japanese import site J-List (aka J-Box for those younger than 18) has a buy-two-get-one-free offer.

From now until December 31, 2009, purchase any two games through the J-List website and you’ll automatically receive the adult dating sim game Snow Sakura (Windows, $29.95) free. If you’ve already purchased the game and buy two new games, you’ll receive a $15 store coupon instead. It appears the coupon will be good for any J-List or J-Box products.

Since the site offers both physical and digital download versions of games, the freebie will be delivered in the same format as your ordered games.

Fair notice: Snow Sakura is an adult dating sim game and the site sells many adult-themed items and games. You must be 18 to order and the site is also age gated.

J-List’s other recent newsy announcement will really only excite those who area already partaking in various G-Collections dating sim, aka bishojo, games.

Distributor JAST USA has announced that the V-Mate authorization system for downloaded products has been eliminated. From J-List:

“Previously, customers who purchased Internet Download Editions of our G-Collections games needed to install Virtual Mate activation software and have a live Internet connection when they wanted to play. With the release of the patches we’re posting today, Virtual Mate is no longer required (although it is still supported normally). Among other things, this means that anyone running 64-bit versions of Windows Vista or 7 may now purchase and play our games.”

Anyone who has installed V-Mate can download a patch for each game (have your game code ready) although some older games may not yet be patched.
