Good news for foodies and fans of food geek extraordinaire Alton Brown: the Food Network personality will be making an appearance in the upcoming Wii/DS title Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine. In an interview with Chow.com, the chef divulged his plans to be a part of the game: “Yes! I’m going in to record for it in July. I’ll be playing myself.”
The game is described as a competitive (and family friendly) cooking sim that will make use of the Wii/DS controls (inevitable comparisons to Cooking Mama to ensue). Developed by Black Lantern Studios, the title has no release date as of yet.
How cool is this? Alton Brown is many a food geek’s favorite guy, he’s sort of like the friendlier, Mr. Wizard version of Rachel Ray (with none of the ambitions for world domination).
