Important Importables Mini: Be J-Rockers with Rock Band: Japan

The Rock Band tour continues on, as Harmonix, MTV Games and Q Entertainment have announced that the three companies will be putting together Rock Band: Japan. As we all know, Rock Band was first created and released for North American audiences in November, 2007, and was then released in Europe in May, 2008 and Australia in September, 2008. Now a Japanese version of the game is being developed.
The official press release states that the original Rock Band will be completely localized and reworked for Rock Band: Japan. The details aren’t available yet, and no track list has been announced, but the game will feature Japanese performers and music. Hopefully there will be tracks from Gackt, X Japan and/or L’arc~en~Ciel.
You know, if there were downloadable, Japanese rock tracks for the North American version of Rock Band, I’d run out and buy a PS3 and a copy. Especially if there were tracks from Miyavi, Gackt, any Tomoko Kawase related group or Shiina Ringo. I am such a sucker for foreign music - even though I usually have no clue what they’re saying. If the PS3 wasn’t region-locked, I’d go buy one in anticipation of Rock Band: Japan.

The PS3 isn’t region coded and looking at what Harmonix did with the PAL version, exclusive songs were available to download in the states the week of the release. So I can only assume they will do the same thing with RB: Japan.
One more thing: THE PILLOWS please, please, please!!!

Wow… so I guess I know what I’m saving up for now. (Or begging family/friends for this Christmas.)
The thing is, Rock Band Japan is going to feature primarily a Japanese track list. So if they did release some songs as dlc, it probably wouldn’t be all of them.
You’re right! I forgot The Pillows! I’d love to play “Ride on Shooting Star,“ “Fool on the Planet,“ “I Think I Can” or “Carnival”. Is it weird that all my favorite Pillows songs appeared in FLCL? XD
