hyperkin Tough Non-Slip Dance Platform matHyperkin is releasing a new dancing mat called the Tough Non-Slip Dance Platform for use with the Dance Dance Revolution games that is guaranteed to be, as the name suggests, tough and non-slip and won’t curl around the edges. The mat comes from the DDRGame brand of products.

The mat is also the first dance mat to include groove-texture arrows which allows you to differentiate your steps on the dance surface and gives players better coordination and a better feel for the mat itself. Also it is suppose to soothe your sore and tired feet.

The new dance mat features a high-grad EVA dancing surface that significantly reduces tearing on the mat. Also, its tough padding will ensure that the corners of the mat will not curl up over extended use, which can damage the mat over time. The non-slip material used to create the mat is made from specially designed microfiber material that prevents the platform from moving around on carpet or hardwood floors, which we all know can mess up your game.

Hyperkin hopes that this new mat will bring a whole new experience to DDR players because the mat will hold up better then the previous mats, plus the new design makes the mat easier to use and makes it less likely to get damaged. Plus the whole pad folds up nicely for storage.

The mat will be compatible with PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, PC/Mac, as well as PlayStation 3 using an optional adapter (sorry Xbox 360 users). It’s retailing at $69.99. No release date is given at this time.
