Hyashi at NYC Nintendo Store signing latest Ninja Gaiden

Director and producer Yosuke Hyashi is at the New York City Nintendo World Store today (March 26, 2008) signing copies of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the DS. Anyone who buys the game also gets a special sword stylus.
The event is going on until 6 pm today, so if you hurry, maybe you can still make it.
(2:45:15 PM) TUN3R: just got me a signed copy of the new ninja gaiden…
PJ: nice - how did you manage that?
TUN3R: Hayashi was at the Nintendo Store signing copies
PJ: wish I could have been there.
TUN3R: also came with a wicked awesome sword stylus
PJ: Did you use some of your awesome Japanese phrases on him?
TUN3R: no
PJ: bummer
TUN3R: he spoke perfect English
PJ : oh so you just used some 1950s US smut talk on him then
TUN3R: haha
I asked about the smut is because TUN3R and I went to Japan together a few years ago and he brought a book of Japanese phrases that included a lot of curse words and vulgar phrases. Our host told us that most of the terms in the book were stuff that only old ladies would say and likely came from the 1950s.
TUN3R said the singing wasn’t very crowded so if you head there now you might get a few minutes to chat with him.
I’m still waiting for a photo of Hyashi’s autograph and the stylus. I’ll post it as soon as TUN3R sends it. [UPDATE (03/26/2008 5:40 pm): TUN3R sent a shot of the signed game and the sword still in the package. Special thanks to TUN3R for the photo!]
Here’s a larger version of the promo poster so you can read it:

So… I have to tell ya PJ… the game is amazing. It made my hour subway ride fly by. You should really check it out when you get a chance.
on March 27, 2008 at 03:54 PM - LINKI certainly will, TUN3R. Sounds like it is more playable than the sometimes impossibly difficult console games.
Thanks again for the heads up and the photo!
