Today’s a groovy day to celebrate not going to work by being with your family.  Also remember all those people who still have to work when you’re at home, chillin’ by the pool: Police, firefighters, doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, newspaper employees, TV news employees, telephone operators and thousands of other jobs.

Go eat some grilled food products, consume a chilled, age-appropriate beverage, ignite a state-approved firework or two and, of course, get in some extra time with your favorite, neglected videogame.

Heck, give your primary World of Warcraft character a break from mining for the day and let them get some well-deserved rest.

Otherwise, go away. It’s a friggin’ national holiday.
