For those of us that haven’t had enough of the Halo franchise, Jasman Toys is now providing the opportunity to handle Covenant weaponry. They are putting out a line of laser tag guns based on the models of the Plasma Rifle and the Plasma Pistol, complete with force feedback, and realistic behaviors similar to their video game counterparts.
The Plasma Rifle will overheat after firing it for too long and the Plasma Pistol features both single shot and overcharge firing modes. Along with these two guns, there’s also a shield generator that depletes after taking a number of shots and can be recharged by staying away from damage.
Unfortunately coolness and advanced weaponry seldom come for cheap and these gadgets are no exception. The Plasma Pistol will set you back $79.99 and you can have the Plasma Rifle for $129.99.
I have many times wondered what it would be like to handle one of the cool Covenant weapons featured in the Halo games. Even though those energy weapons look amazing firing bolts of shiny colored plasma, until now us humans have been stuck with plain old metal and gunpowder. The Terminator movies suggested things would improve by the time Skynet took over, when humans could finally do battle using laser weapons, but that was supposed to happen like in ’94 so I guess we’re stuck for a long time.
Persona 4 is simply a stunning, engaging and wonderfully crafted RPG with plenty of player interaction, interesting dungeons and a fantastic story. It will easily be the PS2’s swansong.
