  According to Microsoft, presales for Halo 3 have passed the 1 million mark, making it one of the best selling presale games ever. Various online retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Wal-Mart, are preselling the Bungie Studios game.

A breakdown of the presales three version of Halo 3 was not indicated. There are currently three sales prices for Halo 3: The regular edition for $59.99, a Limited edition for $69.99 and a legendary Edition for $129.99. All versions of the Xbox 360 exclusive game will be available in retail outlets on September 25, 2007.

Once a game hits 1 million as a pre-sale plateau, does the marketing team even need to bother promoting the game? The number of tie-in products and partnership seems to have gone a bit overboard. There’s no possible way the average gamer can purchase every friggin’ Halo product being made. What will you spend your hard-earned cash on first?
