Greed Corp a battling, resource management and territory conquering strategy game with a boardgame-like appearance, finally has a definite release window of early 2010. W!Games will be releasing it it as a downloadable game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PCs thanks to the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Arcade and internet sites. It also marks the first entry a Mistbound series of games.

Greed Corp is about getting as much land as possible and being strong than anyone else while, at the same time, trying not to destroy the land underneath you. You can harvest resources and preserve it with Harvesters, and use that money to build weapons for defense and destory pretty much everything and send troops everywhere with walkers. If your enemy is getting too close, or has a plot of land near you, you can either destroy the enemy or destroy the land to eliminate the threat. If you are too reckless though, the land will disintegrate beneath you and you’ll lose valuable troops and territory.

It sounds like an interesting concept. Strategy games where the goal is to capture as much land as possible aren’t new, and usually you have to collect resources in them as well. A game where the resources aren’t plentiful and the health of the land and terrain factors into your success seems unique.
