GOG.com distributing Robinson’s Requiem Collection for $5.99

Robinson's Requiem CollectionWhile new games are always nice and fun to play, sometimes you want to relax with a classic. You know, return to something you used to really love, back in the day. Good Old Games, also known as GOG.com, offers a great opportunity to relive the games of the past with its ever expanding catalog of DRM-free games.

The latest entry to its catalog contains a game I remember playing when I was young - Robinson’s Requiem Collection. For $5.99 you get both Robinson’s Requiem and Deus. Both games are compatible with Windows XP and Vista, so you don’t have to worry about any game-ending crashes or errors.

Both games in the Robinson’s Requiem Collection are action/survival games, with RPG and point-and-click elements. You’re stranded in both games, and have to fight to survive. It can get pretty tricky, especially since most things in the game can injure or kill you. If you’re looking for a cheap challenge, it’s a pretty good deal. I’d buy the game for Deus, and consider Robinson’s Requiem an added bonus.

I’d love to see GOG.com get permission to distribute the PC versions of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. I still have both the PC versions of them, but my Vista laptop just has issues with running both of them sometimes. If one, or both, of those appeared on GOG.com for $5.99, I’d instantly snap them up.
