God of War PSP demo at the Playstation Store

God of War: Chains of Olympus is easily one of the most anticipated PSP titles of 2008. While fans must wait until March 4, 2008 for the full game, a demo titled God of War: Chains of Olympus - Battle of Attica is now available as a free download from the Playstation Store. Make sure you have enough room on your memory card, because this awesome freebie is a whopping 164 MB.
The demo allows players a brief peek at what can be expected from the portable adventures of Kratos. God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the original God of War, where Kratos must battle monsters in Hades under orders from the gods. The sample doesn’t offer all that much in terms of the full storyline, but it does offer a taste of what is to come. It also gives a chance to see how the camera and control scheme will work in the title, and a hint at what kind of new moves are included.
If you have the time and proper set up to do so, this is definitely a download to get. It looks gorgeous, plays like a dream and is a wonderful example of a PSP game with a lot of potential. But remember that the game, and the demo, are both rated “M” for violence, nudity, sex and gore.

i cant play this god of war demo… it shows up as corrupted data on my psp… somebody help… PLZ!
on February 28, 2008 at 11:39 PM - LINKWell, there are a number of reasons why.
1st. Do you have the special program that lets you immediately download and transfer over items from the Playstation Store to your PSP?
2nd. What firmware are you running?
3rd. Did you follow the store’s instructions for downloading the item to your PSP using the Sony software?
I have 3.71 and the special Playstation Store download software, and I had no problem downloading and running it.
I’ll try searching online for another source for the download for you.

on March 4, 2008 at 05:39 PM - LINKFirst you need to get the Playstation Network Downloader from the Playstation store, which moves the demos and games to your PSP from your PSP. Install it.
Then you connect the PSP to the PC. Set it in USB mode. Go to the Playstation Store and click to download the item. It will then begin downloading the demo to your system.
Full instructions are available here: https://store.playstation.com/store/instructions.vm
I downloaded it that way with no problem. If you still have issues, a Google search will provide numerous torrent links to download the demo.
on March 4, 2008 at 05:58 PM - LINKI downloaded it and i didn’t have an prob at all except that when i try to play i says : “the copy right protection is invalid” HELP PLZ
on April 6, 2008 at 04:24 AM - LINKHi Gabriel -
Did you get it from the official Playstation Store? Also were you logged in when you downloaded it? In order to be authorized to play the demo on your PSP, you must log in from your account and download it directly to your PSP.
on April 6, 2008 at 04:19 PM - LINKI did downloaded it from the official play station store, and yes I was logged in, I tried again but this time when it reached ` it was 163MB/163MN, and i got an error, it said: “an error has occurred” (0x8004820b)

Hi again Gabriel,
I didn’t have any problems when I downloaded…
Perhaps try this - delete the demo from your memory card. Log out of the Playstation Store. Log back in. Redownload it.
If that doesn’t work, then perhaps email the Playstation’s Store’s support group for assistance?
