God of War: Chains of Olympus glitters like gold

by Pulkit Chandna on Feb 16, 2008 at 10:23 AM

God of War: Chains of OlympusPSP Hack-and-slash game God of War: Chains of Olympus has gone gold and is all set to wreck your PSP’s buttons. It is the maiden PSP title in the widely popular series that features the marauding Kratos as its protagonist. Now that the games’ developer, Ready at Dawn, has finished all development work, the game will be released as scheduled on March 4, 2008.

Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the two previous games in the series that were both released for the PS2. The title must be keenly anticipated by both gamers and Sony itself, as it is the kind of title that can provide a lot of impetus to PSP sales that have already benefited a great deal by the launch of the slimmer and lighter PSP-2000.

Eric Koch, senior producer at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Santa Monica Studios, announced the completion of the game’s development stage on the official Playstation Blog. The marketing staff of the game gave a dekko of the advertising campaign that is planned for the game. A TV spot by Animal Logic – the studio behind the spellbinding visual effects and art of the movie 300 - for the game can be expected soon.
