SNES Street Fighter II External Hard DriveValentine’s Day is coming up soon, and if your loved one enjoys video games, it could be difficult to find the right gift. After all, there’s been sort of a release lull, and the next influx of new games doesn’t start until March. Plus, if there were any good, new games released, he or she probably bought them with gift cards received over the holidays. Perhaps you should check out 8BitMemory’s Etsy Shop to pick up a custom external hard drive or usb flash drive as a gift this year. They’re special, because they’re housed in SNES, NES or GBA cartridges.

The GBA usb flash drives are the newest items in the 8BitMemory shop. At the moment, there are three varieties. You can get a 4gb drive in a Mario vs. Donkey Kong or Metroid Fusion casing for $39.99, or an 8gb drive in a Super Mario Advance casing for $49.99. Expensive, yes, but they are unique items you probably won’t see anywhere else. You can also place a custom order and choose your own size and cartridge.

If you have a little more cash to spend, and the person you love needs more storage space, perhaps consider an NES or SNES external, portable flash drive. The NES hard drives come in three different sizes, 320gb, 500gb and 640gb, costing $119.99, $139.99 and $159.99. The SNES hard drives are only available in two sizes, 500gb and 640gb, and will cost either $149.99 or $169.99. Again, there are a multiple cartridge options available, and you can check the Shop Policies section on the site to place a custom order so the hard drive is in the cartridge you want.

It’s a novel idea, if you happen to have the extra cash lying around or really love the person you’re buying the gift for enough to splurge. If money’s tight and you still want a custom gift, the NES cartridge clocks are only $19.99.
