Get your LOL on

by Jenni Lada on Jun 5, 2008 at 11:52 AM

LOL box artThat multiplayer-only DS drawing game from Agetec, LOL is now available. But don’t all go running to stores to buy it - LOL is only going to be available through the official Agetec online store. The game is rated E and only $19.99, as shipping is free.

LOL is a lot like Pictionary. One person issues a challenge, and the other people have to draw or write a response to the challenge within a certain period of time. The host then shows everyone the submitted answers, and everyone votes on the best one. The winner creates a whole new challenge, and the game starts all over again. It never ends. People stay locked playing challenge after challenge until the DS with the LOL gamecard’s battery dies.

I love how the catchphrase is, “If the game is boring, you are boring.“ Way to shift the blame off of an enhanced, $20 version of Pictochat. Of course, I’m a jaded 25 year old. LOL could very well be humorous or amusing to grade-schoolers.

Now if this were LOL-catz, then maybe there’d be some potential. One person could pretend to be an internet forum troll, and post something stupid and insulting. Then the other players would have to create an appropriate LOLcatz macro for the situation, using pictures included with the game. The best macro wins.
