National Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19, 2008) may be over and done with but that doesn’t mean our booty has to go with it.
Capcom wants to acknowledge this day by offering players the chance to participate in the Age of Booty Open Beta. All you have to do is head over to the download page and sign up. Afterwards, set sail on an adventure teeming with pirate stereotypes and discover more ways to use the word booty than you ever cared to know.
Age of Booty is a strategy game developed by Certain Affinity and published by Capcom. The game consists of taking control of your own pirate ship and laying waste to other sea lovers with the help of the AI or human players. When the plundering is done, items can be collected that go towards upgrading the weapon, armor, or speed of your ship. There is even a map editor to play around with which also happens to be the same one the developers used. With the map editor, you can either edit an existing map or create one all your own.
Age of Booty will also be available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network when it is released late 2008.
